Meritor is a global leader in providing innovative drivetrain mobility and braking solutions for original equipment (OE) manufacturers of trucks, trailers and specialty vehicles, as well as the related aftermarkets in the transportation and industrial sectors.

In 2011, Meritor closed its trailer axle/suspension business in the Wales, UK, and established a license agreement with Assali Stefen to enable it to manufacture certain products for the European market formerly produced by Meritor.  Assali Stefen is based in Verona, Italy.

Projectize was tasked with the Programme Management of creating the technical capability at Assali Stefen to manufacture the products licensed to it by Meritor. The following activities were performed:

• Planning, resourcing, tracking and coordination of all activities necessary to successfully implement the license agreement
• Communication interface between Meritor and Assali Stefen
• Identification and implementation of business process improvements needed at Assali Stefen to enable manufacturing of the products licensed from Meritor
• Assistance with human resource recruiting to address skill gaps at Assali Stefen

The programme was successfuly completed in December 2011.
